Chevron - Junior Petroleum Engineer

Chevron is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Petroleum Engineer to join our team in Denver, Colorado. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of oil and gas reservoir engineering, from reservoir simulation and modeling to production optimization and well testing. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and innovative team in a rapidly growing industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct reservoir simulation studies to predict reservoir performance and optimize production strategies.
  • Develop and implement reservoir management plans.
  • Analyze well test data to characterize reservoir properties.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations.
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers and geologists to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in petroleum engineering technology.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry (internships count).
  • Strong understanding of reservoir simulation and modeling techniques.
  • Proficiency in relevant software packages (e.g., Eclipse, CMG).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
