General Electric (GE) - Associate Wind Turbine Technician - Charlotte, NC

General Electric (GE), a global leader in energy solutions, seeks a skilled and experienced Associate Wind Turbine Technician to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As Associate Wind Turbine Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing wind turbines, ensuring efficient and reliable energy generation. You will work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, requiring excellent problem-solving and mechanical skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on wind turbines, identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components of wind turbines.
  • Perform blade repairs, including cleaning, painting, and replacement.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults in wind turbine systems, using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Complete detailed reports documenting maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Work safely at heights and adhere to all safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts used and work performed.
  • Collaborate effectively with other technicians and supervisors.
  • Work in a variety of weather conditions and terrain.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and reliability of wind turbine operations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures relevant to wind turbine maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety procedures.
